Mincemeat Pie

This recipe is based on the Old Fashioned American Colonial pie. Mom's takes apples, cherries, citron, lemon and orange peel, raisins and currants, soaks them in brandy and cider, adds beef and suet and bakes. A flavorful holiday favorite, available anytime.

Fresh Virginia Apples, beef, raisins, currants, apple cider, sugar, orange, lemon cherries, pecans, citron, brandy, dates, ginger, unbleached wheat flour, water (only in crust), vegetable shortening, margarine, spices, salt, egg.
